I do not think that the argument presented here is easily dismissed.As a warning to prospective readers: I strongly advise you to acquire a general familiarity with Aristotle's works and philosophy before attempting this, lest the background arguments previously established by the authors present obstacles to understanding what is discussed in this book. The Metaphysics was not written in a philosophical vacuum; rather it builds upon principles and conclusions established elsewhere (most especially but not exclusively in the Physics and On the Soul).God exists. Aristotle and Aquinas show this to be the case. What follows as a consequence of this awesome fact is a subject of other works.
Even though I love St. Thomas, I could not get through this book.
