Do not waste your money on this silly excuse for a travel guide, it's a complete WOFTAM. It reads more like a "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" school report by a 7th grader. This "travel guide" is 98 pages of extra large font (normal size font would have yielded maybe 25 pages of text, at a stretch), simple sentences sprinkled with numerous grammatical errors, and plenty of fill and repetition, resulting in very little valuable information, most of which appears to be gathered from Iceland tourism websites. The 15 or so uninteresting fuzzy b&w photos add little - don't be fooled by the front cover. The author is perfectly honest, even indicating that his trip to Iceland (or at least part of it) was with a group tour - there's nothing wrong with that, except that this text belongs in the realm of a personal vacation journal or a travel blog. The dishonest part is that he's selling this trivia for the price of a normal book when it's worth nothing, and having read it cover to cover in 30 minutes or less you'll wonder why you wasted your time and money. The author ends the book with this cryptic line: "Take it from it. It truly is."Huh? Is this yet another typo or grammatical error? Or is he referring to taking your money? In my case, the book's being returned, pronto. Don't trust the 5 star reviews, they were probably written by members of the author's tour group that he sent free copies to in exchange for glowing reviews.
The author has perhaps visited Iceland but provided no tips or information that is more easily found on the internet.
